Free shipping number tools
Shipping numbers carry more information than they seem to. A container number tells you who owns the box and has a built-in check against typos; an air waybill number tells you which airline issued it. These tools read that information for you. They work in your browser, need no sign-up, and don’t show live shipment positions — for that, use the carrier’s own tracking page, which we link to wherever we can.

Container number check
Type a container number to check its ISO 6346 check digit, see the owner code, category and serial, and find the shipping line’s tracking page when we know the owner code.
Useful for: Catching a typo before you chase a container that doesn’t exist, or working out a missing last digit.

Airline prefix lookup
Find which airline a three-digit air waybill prefix belongs to, and test whether a full 11-digit air waybill number has the right check digit.
Useful for: Working out who issued an air waybill when the paperwork only shows the number.
